Sadhana Subramaniam is an Emmy nominated documentary director. Her debut documentary, India’s Forbidden Love, which was nominated for an International Emmy, tells a terrifying story of a young girl's fight for justice after her husband fell victim to caste brutality in India. 

Sadhana is an British filmmaker, a compelling storyteller with a cinematic eye for striking images and a keen interest for far-reaching geopolitical investigations. With proven ability to draw out intimate personal stories and in combining them with powerful visual aesthetics to make vigorously journalistic films.

Specialist in high-quality, ambitious and original factual programs. Sadhana writes & directs content for TV, online platforms, institutional clients and non-profits. She has worked on documentaries for Al Jazeera, Channel 4 and the BBC.

Sadhana has completed an MA in Documentary Filmmaking at University College London (UCL).

When not around remote interesting strangers, she lives in London.
